'CALL ME CRAZY'

We wrote and produced  the closing song for Sony Picture’s "Call Me Crazy: a Five Film" from Executive Producer Jennifer Aniston.

The song was nominated for the APRA Screen Music Awards in the category of "Best Original Song Composed for Screen".

“Call Me Crazy: A Five Film” stars Academy Award® and Golden Globe® winners Jennifer Hudson, Melissa Leo and Octavia Spencer, Sarah Hyland, Sofia Vassilieva, Brittany Snow, Ernie Hudson, Jason Ritter, three-time Emmy Award®-winner Jean Smart, Lea Thompson, Oscar®-nominee Melanie Griffith and Chelsea Handler. Laura Dern, Bryce Dallas Howard, Bonnie Hunt, Ashley Judd and Sharon Maguire direct the anthology.

Through the five shorts named after each title character — Lucy, Eddie, Allison, Grace and Maggie – powerful relationships built on hope and triumph raise a new understanding of what happens when a loved one struggles with mental illness.

'BECAUSE OF YOU'

We discovered a lead-sheet that was written by our late Grandfather - Joe Frankel (a geologist and jazz pianist who unfortunately we never knew) . The song was published in England as sheet music back in the 1930's.  We'd never heard it and as far as we know no recordings were ever made of it so we thought it would be exciting to bring it to life and make our own version. We are lucky to have his Hamburg Steinway grand piano in our studio. Enjoy!

The Rhythm of Life - Reimagined

We produced and arranged much of the Music for Jason Coleman’s Latest show - The Rhythm of Life.

Jason is a world renowned dancer and choreographer who choreographed the Sydney Olympic Games Ceremony and was the Judge of “So You Think You Can Dance”.

Helen & Joey Estate

As wine lovers, we were thrilled to compose and produce this harp-based score for Helen & Joey Estate located in the Yarra Valley, east of Melbourne.

This cool climate wine growing region has a tradition of producing Premium Cabernet Sauvignon (and Bordeaux blends), Shiraz, Pinot Noir and Chardonnay.

YOUTH BEYOND BLUE

"Kelly" is an award-winning spot we scored for "Youth Beyond Blue", an organisation that helps people overcome depression. In the story the narrative is told backwards - showing the path back to recovery for "Kelly". We composed the theme to tell the story of her recovery and as the Kelly's character transforms the theme is transformed (in this case reversed) and at the end  forms the conclusion of hope. We scored this for acoustic piano and voice and we were also involved in the sound design to tell the story and create the atmosphere.
